Function of the lever transmission

The flatter and harder a material, the greater the force required to cut it.

In such a situation, the lever transmission is used:

It develops its force during the cutting process and then deploys its greatest effect at the end of cutting – where the energy expended is at its greatest and cutting using a normal cutter would take a great deal of effort. Thanks to the lever transmission, it is possible to cut through the material with ease.
